⚡️Hello, beautiful people⚡️
How are you today ?
I know know I was away for couple weeks because of an important project that I had promised to talk about. It’s time to unravel what I was hiding from you for quite some time now.
Title :“My first dress / DIY Thrift store transformation/ a wedding dress makeover .”
Part I: How did it all start ? Or when a joke becomes reality.
It was in August 2018 while I was in Kazakhstan figuring out how the sewing machine works when a good friend of mine had announced her engagement💍. Happy and excited we were bragging about the wedding. She saw some of my creations on IG and we were joking about me creating her wedding gown for the wedding since I was so into it🙈. joking is the main word in this sentence.
Few weeks later we have met with this beautiful girl in the café à côté de l ’Opéra🕺. Talking about life, wedding I was amazed how she was/is supportive of my decision to turn into a tailor. That’s when THE question has popped up: “what do you think about creating my wedding dress? “ I was shocked, flattered and full of doubts. As my i-want-it-all-right-now approach lead to “home-made and unfinished” gowns I wanted to say “no”. Here we were talking about a wedding dress, not a cute skirt.
Doubts….Doubts, “maybe you would never have the same opportunity again” 🤔 then I remembered that the wedding supposed to be in autumn 2019 and I have a whole year to get ready.
So I said “YES” to be continued…
